Living Earth.
Ambiguous forms placed under the turf suggesting that there is some thing alive
under the ground.
This piece was originally installed with sound played though a sub‐woofer buried
within the mound. This sound could be felt though your feet and hands when
touching or standing on the turf. Silicon beads were placed in cuts in the turf and
viewers were encouraged to touch and put their hands in to they beads.
Viewers of this piece reported to feel an empathy with the mounds and interacted as
if their presents had some effect on the sounds that the mound produced. Featured at the ‘Towards a Fluid State’ food and alcohol tasting event in Hackney.
